Big Data, SNA, and the Internet
Two resources that examine how big data and SNA have real-world applicability, and how the Internet has evolved.
The first is from Patrick Meier, who graduated Fletcher with a PhD in 2012. Meier founded Ushahidi and has done a lot of interesting analyses of Tweets during various world crises. His blog here or at http://irevolution.net/
The second is a new book by Walter Isaacson, the CEO of the Aspen Institute and a recognized writer whose most recent book, The Innovators, examines the origins of the Internet.
