"Biologists have figured out the most efficient way to destroy an ecosystem — and it’s based on the Google search algorithm."

Yes, the Google PageRank algorithm, that most-prominent example of a test of eigenvector centraility, is being used to determine which species of plants and animals are crucial to the survival of large ecosystems, eventually for all human life.
