No Facebook? In India, Mobile Users Have Another Option
This is a really creative use of SMS for those who want links to friends but don't have/can't afford Internet access. BTW, one of the early uses of Bulk SMS was by the Serbian resistance in the late 1990s.

This is interesting, outside the mainly urban areas in India, access to internet is not very common. Also considering that the number of mobile phone connections in the country is increasing so rapidly. I believe it has been fore-casted to grow at 15% between 2009-2015. So, it makes a lot of sense to put out a system like this!
