SNA address real problem in the company

problem and challenge

This is an issue that occurs in the real company. Because of the fierce battle in work performance, the relationship among employees as well as departments in the company becomes increasingly strained. However, this kind of situation
is a bad phenomenon for the development of the company, while this kind of issue can't be solved in a short time. There are many kinds of solutions,
for example, the company can directly issue a statement that the relationship
among departments in the company should be friendly. But this solution can't
fundamentally solve the interpersonal relationship among the departments
faced by the company. However, if we separate different departments of the
company, find out the employee in the department who has the close relation with the other employees under different department, as well as find out the
employee in various departments who has the most frequent social interaction with others, according to the knowledge that welearn in SNA courses, the company can
solve the problem firstly from the team group.

What will be the most important network measures? And what will the SNA help me do?

The most important network measures will be how to do subgroup with big date.
When I can find out who is the leader and who has the most connection with the people in the subgroup. I will fix the problem individually, and guide the leader to do social network with people who from the different department.

SNA will help me to know the closeness and betweenness in each of department and also will help me to find out who is the person should I have a conversation first and then fix friendship problems in the different apartment.

You've got a good idea, but it needs more thought in order to make a viable SNA. For instance, it would be nice to know a few more specifics about the type of company you're describing to help us understand your recommendations (e.g. big/small?). Also, you need to tell us how you think that SNA can actually help the problem (unhealthy competitiveness between company departments.) You also need to develop a better set of survey questions, as the ones you've used were appropriate for our class but need to be adapted for the situation you describe. And, while you mention some analytic techniques, you need to be more specific about how you'll use them. For instance, it's not clear why having "the most connection with people in the subgroup" is a problem that needs to be fixed?
