Stuxnet: the most menacing malware in history

Below are interesting pieces about Stuxnet, which was revealed to be designed by the US and Israel to contain Iran's nuclear capability.

Stuxnet was believed to have destroyed nearly 1,000 of Iran's 6,000 centrifuges.
We understand US's longstanding efforts and willingness to withdraw nuclear facilities from Iran, however, could this means be justified either by the benign intention or by the effects?
