If ancient Rome had the Internet...

Some time ago I read a short humorous blog entry where the author (Mark Brownlow) was speculating on how ancient Romans could have communicated if they had the Internet.

Even though this adds a bit of fun to our serious stuff I believe this may well describe how often we misuse the power of social networking tools and how significantly our life changed since the first email sent.

So would you like this?
The destruction of Pompeii in 79 A.D. is the most viewed video at YouTube. The first comment is..."OMG so cool! Volcanos ROCK!"

Always enjoyed sci-fi novels, when today's people had ability to travel to the past with some technological achievements to change reality there. But I never thought of power of social networking software to be used in ancient times! Very good recreational reading, which makes you think....
