Better Understanding of Ukraine Protesters

From the in-deep random survey with the 1,203 protesters in Kiev everyday for 9 months with daily documentation of protest slogans and short interviews, the result surprises and contrast with other researches.

1) Protesters are older than expected.
2) Protesters are more diverse than expected.
3) Social media are important, but not simply as a provider of information about existence of protests.
4) Social-networks seem to be highly influential in bring people out into the streets.
5) Social media and Internet news sites seem to have been successfully used as key framing devices for protest themes.

The more detail is very interesting here >> http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/monkey-cage/wp/2014/01/02/social-networks-and-social-media-in-ukrainian-euromaidan-protests-2/
